The only comment I might have is that this, "or the mockery of the police he causes" is a little awkward. I see what you're doing with the sentence, but if you put that phrase the other way round (causes a mockery of the police) it still sounds weird. So it definitely at least needs to be "makes" or maaaybe "creates".
